Which Mazda model is best for long road trips?
If you have a long road trip planned for this summer, you’ll want to make sure you have the right vehicle for the job. A Mazda model could be exactly what you’re looking for. While there are various models available, you’re looking for the one that is best equipped to be your companion on a long road trip. Find out what our suggestion is below!
There are a few different models that come to mind. First is the MX-5 Miata, which is a fun little roadster that lets you drop the top down and enjoy a fresh breeze. Another could be the full-size CX-9, which has plenty of cargo space. The best option, though, is probably the CX-5. The compact SUV from Mazda is an ideal choice for long road trips because it offers a bunch of excellent features.
For starters, it’s quite spacious inside. Despite the “compact” tag in the title, the CX-5 can still hold up to 59.6 cubic feet of cargo inside with the rear seats folded flat. Should you need a full vehicle for passengers, it can still hold another 30.9 cubic feet behind the 2nd row.
The CX-5 is also a good companion when it comes to performance. It remains efficient enough (25 city/31 hwy mpg) to save you time from stopping at the gas pump, but it also has a respectable towing capacity of 2000 lbs if you need to haul a trailer on the back. All-wheel drive is an available features that will optimize traction and handling.
Of course, no vehicle is set for a long road trip without interior amenities to enhance comfort and convenience. Heated and ventilated seating and automatic climate control will help keep you and everyone else at the perfect temperature. Other interior amenities include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated navigation, BOSE® sound system, and much more.
We like the CX-5 for long road trips, but there are other good models to choose from as well. Learn more when you contact us here at Royal South Mazda!
