New infotainment system for the 2021 Mazda CX-5
New for 2021, the Mazda CX-5 interior is enhanced and now has an even larger infotainment screen available at 10.25 inches. Not only is it the largest infotainment screen ever offered in the Mazda CX-5, but it is coming standard on all 2021 trim levels.
This infotainment screen includes important standard features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These smartphone connectivity packages allow you to have more in-car control over your phone than ever before. Play audio straight from your favorite app and more. You can even utilize your smartphone’s native GPS and navigation apps to get navigation directly from your phone onto your infotainment screen on any 2021 Mazda CX-5 even if it is not equipped with native navigation.
Of course, the infotainment system includes further features such as Bluetooth hands-free connectivity allowing you to handle calls and more even without using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. You also have two USB audio inputs and this all outputs through an 8-speaker audio system with Mazda Harmonic Acoustics.

2021 Mazda CX-5 i-ACTIVSENSE® safety features
Though some of these features may be standard carryovers from last year, 2021 is the first year that they have all been packaged like this standard on all trims. This feature list is long, but it includes powerful safety features like advanced smart city brake support with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, and blind post monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
This suite of safety technology also includes Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go functionality. That means you can set your cruise control speed and your car will attempt to go that speed unless a slower car is in front of you. Even if traffic comes to a stop, you can resume allowing your car to handle your speed after the stop.
