2016 Mazda CX-5 and 2016 Mazda CX-9 Engine Power

The 2016 Mazda CX-5 is available with two engine options. One option is a 155 horsepower SKYACTIV®-G 2.0L DOHC 4-cylinder with VVT, which is only available with a manual transmission. The other option is a 184 horsepower SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder with VVT, which can tow up to 2,000 pounds. Both of these engines feature Mazda’s specially-developed SKYACTIV® technology, which allows for both optimal power and efficiency.

This special technology also makes an appearance in the 2016 Mazda CX-9 model’s 250 horsepower SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L Turbo DOHC 4-cylinder with VVT, which has the strength to pull up to 3,500 pounds.
